Morning Message of Motivation
By Rev Robert Ampiah-Kwofi
The most outstanding aspect of Christ’s life and ministry was His resurrection.
His resurrection had been prophesied by king David.
Acts 2:29 NIV
“Fellow Israelites, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day.”
David was a prophet as well as a king.
Acts 2:30 NIV
“But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne.”
David foresaw Christ’s resurrection.
Acts 2:31 NIV
“Seeing what was to come, he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that he was not abandoned to the realm of the dead, nor did his body see decay.”
David uttered this prophecy in the book of Psalms.
Speaking of the Messiah he said, in
Psalms 16:10 KJV
“For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell;
neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.”
Christ Himself also predicted His resurrection repeatedly.
John 2:19 NKJV
“Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”
The Jews mistakenly assumed He was talking of the rebuilt temple of Solomon.
John 2:20 NKJV
“Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?”
Jesus was talking of resurrection of His human body in three days.
John 2:21 NKJV
“But He was speaking of the temple of His body.”
His own disciples understood Him later, after His resurrection.
John 2:22 NKJV
“Therefore, when He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this to them; and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had said.”
Jesus triumphed by His resurrection.
May you also rise victoriously above all challenges and barriers.
May you triumph over your greatest opposition, in Jesus’ name.
Dearly Beloved, Grace to you.
