Resurrection 15
By Rev Robert Ampiah-Kwofi

Christ’s resurrection is described as a definite matter of course.
There was no doubt about it.
It was guaranteed before He died, that He would surely resurrect.
Acts 2:24 NKJV
“Whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it.”

The following factors guaranteed His resurrection.
The weakness of death against Him
Death is a spirit of the enemy.
It’s strength is sin backed by the Law.
1 Corinthians 15:56 NKJV
“The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.”

The poisonous and destructive power of death is sin.
Death could not hold Christ Jesus because Jesus was sinless.
Hebrews 4:15 NKJV
“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.”

The word of God promised Him a resurrection
David prophesied that the Father would not abandon Jesus in the region of the dead.
Acts 2:31 NIV
“Seeing what was to come, he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that he was not abandoned to the realm of the dead, nor did his body see decay.”

The Scriptures had declared that Messiah would rise again and the Scriptures cannot be broken.

Jesus Christ Himself is the resurrection
John 11:25 KJV
“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:”

Jesus Christ had to rise again because of who He is.
He is the embodiment of the resurrection.

Jesus Christ’s obedience guaranteed His exaltation
Philippians 2:8
“And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”

God responded to Christ’s obedience by exalting Him.
His resurrection was part of His exaltation.

May you be obedient to get into position for God’s promotion.
May you be promoted, uplifted and filled with glory, in the mighty name of Jesus.
