Morning Message of Motivation
Trophies of Grace: 29
By Rev Robert Ampiah-Kwofi
Peter began his sermon by humbly admitting that he was still learning, and that he did not know it all.
Acts 10:34-35 NKJV
“Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.”
Peter had just discovered that God is impartial.
Secondly, Peter spoke about the earthly ministry of Christ, that began after He was anointed with the Holy Ghost.
Peter emphasized the healing and deliverance aspects of Christ’s ministry.
Thirdly, Peter began to preach about Christ’s sacrifice on our behalf.
Peter preached about vital gospel truths.
He could not possibly touch on all aspects of Christ’s life.
Peter therefore chose to share the essentials of the Gospel.
Peter spoke of Christ’s crucifixion.
“And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they killed by hanging on a tree.”
The gospel is the record of Christ’s sacrifice in paying the price for the sin of mankind.
Christ took our place.
He became our substitute.
He bore our sins.
Isaiah 53:6 NKJV
“All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”
Peter then spoke of Christ’s resurrection.
His resurrection is the proof that the sacrifice He made on our behalf had been accepted by God the Father.
Acts 10:40 NKJV
“Him God raised up on the third day, and showed Him openly,”
Peter testified that they had seen the resurrected Christ.
God showed the risen Christ to be alive.
May the Lord restore you openly for all eyes to see.
Those who saw your failure shall now see your victory, in Jesus’ name.
