Morning Message of Motivation

Christ our Redeemer: 29

Our Lord Jesus triumphed because He had a particular mindset. Apostle Paul exhorts us to have the same mindset.
Philippians 2:5 NIV
“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:”

The word of God commands us to think right.
Philippians 4:8 NIV
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

The thoughts of a man’s heart determines his character.
Proverbs 23:7a NKJV
“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”

Christ’s way of thinking led Him to His exaltation.
Philippians 2:6 NIV
“Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;”

Jesus Christ willingly gave up His divine power, rights and privileges and became fully human.
Philippians 2:7 NIV
“Rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.”

Jesus Christ came to serve. He chose to have the mindset of a servant.
Mark 10:45 NIV
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Jesus did not go about, throwing His weight around. He did not demand service from men, because of His divinity. Instead, He chose to serve mankind. He gave His life as a sacrifice for the salvation of many people.
Philippians 2:8 NIV
“And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death —even death on a cross!”

Christ reduced Himself to become a man. He continued to humble Himself to the extent of even dying on the cross. Jesus did this to redeem all mankind from the curse.

May you also serve your generation with the same mindset that Jesus had. May you also be favoured with divine promotions and lifting, in Jesus’ name.
