Morning Message of Motivation

Gifts and Callings: 22
Rev Robert Ampiah-Kwofi

The wilderness journey was full of spiritual dangers for all who came out of Egypt. Unfortunately, the Israelites were only aware of the natural dangers of the desert.
Deuteronomy 8:15 NKJV
“who led you through that great and terrible wilderness, in which were fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty land where there was no water; who brought water for you out of the flinty rock;”

They feared food shortage, water shortage, giants, scorpions and the fiery serpents in the desert.
Exodus 17:3 NKJV
“And the people thirsted there for water, and the people complained against Moses, and said, “Why is it you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?”

They complained about food supplies.
Psalms 78:19-20 NIV
“They spoke against God; they said, “Can God really spread a table in the wilderness? True, he struck the rock, and water gushed out,
streams flowed abundantly, but can he also give us bread? Can he supply meat for his people?”

None of the physical threats and dangers was able to destroy them. Not even a single one of them, died of thirst or hunger. Not even one of them was killed by a giant. They feared the wrong thing.
Ephesians 6:12 NKJV
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

They were focused on unnecessary enemies, so their real enemies were free to destroy them. Their real enemies were spiritual.
1 Corinthians 10:5 NKJV
“But with most of them God was not well pleased, for their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.”

•They were destroyed by evil lusts.
1 Corinthians 10:6 NKJV
“Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.”

May you have spiritual discernment to identify the true and relevant enemies of your destiny. May you possess the grace to overcome all enemies, in Jesus’s name.
